This Demo features the current progress of my first game: Paradox Boxing! It's a little rough around the edges but I believes it conveys what I want this project to become!

This Demo features:

- The First boss to be featured in the game; The Arabian World Champion Zeeshan Abbas!

- A mid-game boss against a Knight in Shining Armor

- A Training Room for getting a handle on the controls before you enter the ring

- A whole bunch a FIST FLINGIN BOXING ACTION

Hope you enjoy! Any constructive feedback is always appreciated so I can make this game the best it could be!

Please take the time to review the controls in the Options menu, or read the rough manual in the Extras menu

Currently Known Issues:

(These are always currently being worked on)

  1. Adjusting the Music slider can sometimes bug and mute the audio
  2. Losing in Zeeshans fight can sometimes cause an audio glitch when the game transitions out of gameplay
  3. Pausing whilst a sound is playing can result in the audio to repeat every frame until unpaused

fun punch out inspired game. Got sent into an infinite death loop by the knight guy

Hello again, im trying to solve the bug you encountered but im having a difficult time recreating it. Could you let me know your system specs along with the video settings you used in game?

If not, its totally cool. Thanks!

Hopefully this information is helpful.

I played on the lowest resolution and framerate(30) possible ingame and use intel uhd 620 intergrated graphics on a i7 cpu i believe. Not sure when it was made but it is pretty old. Im pretty sure the bug occured due to my computer having old hardware and no dedicated gpu, although it can run games like Undertale and Tf2 run pretty good. The game was also launched from the itch desktop app but I'm not sure if that matters much.

Hello, this info was super helpful. It actually led me to find that the game doesnt run properly at anything but 60fps. So I recommend sticking to that (the way I implemented it was wrong and didn't actually increase performance anyway from my recent testing). As for your specs; yeah theyre pretty old. From 2017, ontop of being integrated graphics youre not getting much out of it in the way of gaming. That being said, while im always trying to find and implement ways to improve performance. I don't think I can guarantee a perfectly optimized experience for a system that old. The game has to use higher resolution assets for its hand drawn boss animations.  And optimizing those is way harder than a pixel art game with way lower resolution assets.

Sorry for the bad news, hopefully I discover a way to make it work better for lower end systems. But your reply was extremely useful, so thank you!
